Disc golf, a game of throwing fast-moving flying discs into chain-link metal baskets, may not seem an obvious pairing with intricate works of sculpted art.

But a relatively hidden treasure trove of welded metal sculptures accenting an 18-basket course is quickly taking shape along the flowing creek and winding canyon edges of a wooded East Lubbock park.
